2003 Mongolian calendar
I was hosted by a United Nations Development Program (UNDP) called Eastern Steppes Biodiversity Project (ESBP).br/ When I pitched the idea of this calendar, my intent was to have my hosting organization use the space inside to broadcast interesting ecological facts like Sierra calendars do.br/ For example, the Eastern Steppe of Mongolia is theater of the greatest mammal migration in the world - the Mongolian gazelle herds.br/ There was so much to share...br/ br/ Sadly, the idea did not get across, and most of the wording and writing we got from our hosts went into extreme detail on the political and bureaucratic hierarchy of their organization.br/ br/ True to our word that we would grant ESBP space for self-expression, we went through the gargantuan task of having their snippets published in three columns in THREE languages - Mongolian, English and Russian.br/ br/ I remember proofreading the Mongolian that I could hardly read and still catching some little mistakes.
